peace, love and tie dye

Quand j'ai regardĂ© le site de Top Shop, j'ai trouvĂ© ces chaussure. Can you tell I've been reviewing for my French exam?! The sentence above translates, when I was looking at the Top Shop website, I found these shoes. Aren't they so cool?  It seems that "New Hippie" is in! I think that they're absolutely adorable. But there is one problem.... The elastic on the back would be incredibly painful, not to mention funny looking, because it never stretches out all the way. I would but they're £35 which is like, $70, which I don't have.  Sorry about the short post, lots of stupid reviewing to do! I hate my school! Well... lets call it a love/hate relationship...

Yours, Hippie-ly

Frugal Fashionista

Although this is the name of my new favorite blog... its also my current state of being. I am almost BROKE! I have 34 dollars.  and that's it. But on to the post.

My current favs are..... *drum roll*

Anthropologie
Its chic and unique pieces make even your average pair of jeans runway worthy... check out some of my dreams, if I had money. The cardigans, I absolutely adore. I finally
begged my mum to by me the blue one with lace cutouts on it (and succeeded at it!). It was 98 dollars and I'm so scared it'll rip if I wear it to school. I'm determined to wear it next week though. We get to wear our own clothes for once (I go to a strictly uniform ONLY school, which, if you think about it is quite good. It means I don't have to come up with like, 150 completely different outfits!).

New Target Designer: Rogan Gregory
He is one of my favorite GO international designers so far. I've already bought a pair of his wide leg trousers... I'm wearing them right now! They fit perfectly and the finishing and details are absolutely gorgeous. They were $39.99, so considering my budget, my mum paid for half. It's a super cool collection. It has everything that a teenaged girl needs, swim-suits, vests, jeans, dresses, cardigans, and tops. It's pretty much fabulous!
I really really want the leggings in the picture above and the knit vest on the one above that. They are such cool pieces. They go with..... well, everything! I've got lots of reviewing to do now... exams are next week, so I'll catch up later!

Yours, studiously

Breast Cancer Research! Support or suffer!

You know I don't mean it! Tomorrow is our schools annual cancer walk. I wasn't there last year because I was in Japan, but its supposed to be really fun. To get in the spirit of things, I decided to do a piece on breast cancer in fashion.

For ages Coach has done these key-chains that I think are absolutely adorable, and they've also done a breast cancer ones. These are really cute. My favorite is the one on the left... although I wouldn't mind having the mobile charm!

I think that they're a really good way to advertise for breast cancer, especially because they are Coach. The one above is about $58 dollars. Kind of expensive? Yes. Totally worth it? Definitely.  Juicy Couture has also played its part, except 20% of the money earned from this shirt went to research funds. I bought this shirt, and so did my friend, after we saw it in some magazine. We both know people very close to us who went through treatment and survived so we thought we would help out. I seem to have lost mine however, which was quite sad for me to discover.  What's up with Renee in that picture she looks like she's gonna be sick. While smiling. And wearing Juicy.

Any way, got to go bake cookies for the walk tomorrow!

Yours excitedly,
Hannah

2 down, 2 to go!

Oh my god. We just did a show for all the people in our grade and the one above. It was so much fun! Anyway, we're performing for all of the parents and other people tomorrow night and saturday. Most of my teachers are letting us take tests next week, just because its a school show. I've missed a French test, an English test, and a Science test! it was quite exciting. I'm tired, and am going to go to bed at 8:30, unless I'm watching last nights American Idol.
Oh, So You Think You Can Dance starts up again soon! Season 4! Yay! I'm a dancer, and so are all my friends. So naturally we all watch the show, and so does our dance teacher. She loves the show. It's basically just a whole bunch of really talented dancers who compete to be America's best dancer. I want to be on this show, but I'm  probably never going to be good enough... and I quit ballet. It was making my life to complicated, just like gymnastics, piano, soccer, the list goes on and on. I don't really sing, but its getting to be more fun this year. I'm part of our school choir and we're singing this really confusing song, called Crimson Ivory and Aquamarine. Its weird but so much fun to sing.

On the fashion side of things, during my many rehearsals for the show, I was also online "shopping." Look at this fabulous Stella McCartney dress. I guess I'm addicted to her, her clothes are just so amazing! Another "dip dyed" look, also done in bright colours. I'm not sure about the vampire corset/belt thing, but maybe it's necessary to have a big belt with this look. I also adore kimono dresses, especially since I went to Japan I couldn't breathe in a real kimono. The huge sleeves are just so appealing. Its main problem isn't even showed in this pic. Its on the back of the dress. There's a huge, stupid slit going from her ankles, all the way up to her butt! Why would anyone want that? I mean, seriously?! Also, the sleeves are a little to long, they drag on the floor and that girl is tall. I also have a serious problem with this model's hair. It's foundation commercial hair. That hair-sprayed to death look so that it's not covering up their apparently flawless skin. They aren't fooling anyone. We know that the faces have been air brushed anyway!

Yours yawningly
Hannah
