En Pointe

Karl Lagerfeld seems to be dabbling in the creative aspect of fashion these days. For their 50th anniversary, they have done designs for Barbie and Ken, and he has now moved on to the English National Ballet. Lagerfeld himself created this tutu made entirely of natural resources. The torso is covered with slender ostrich feathers, whereas turkey and hen feathers are layered at the waste in a muted palette of pink, grey and white. It took over 100 hours to create this handmade garment, but every minute seems worth it.
