When some people hear the word they think of a face, sculpted by perfection, perhaps shining from the glossy pages of a magazine, others
may call forth from their memory a trip to the French countryside where it is hard to imagine anything more beautiful than the sun slowly sinking behind the rolling hills. For me, nothing is more beautiful than a perfectly crafted piece of Marchesa couture. Every piece has an organic feel to its carefully draped fabrics, an effortless glory. With my promotion coming up, we are all scrambling to find the prettiest dresses, and to make sure no one will have the same one. I am quite sure that if I had the money no one could win against my pick. Imagine a dress (well several really) so unique and beautiful that it has persuaded me to actually consider
last years dresses. Yes, I, a girl dedicated to this season and this season only, am going all the way back to Fall 2008. This design
by Marchesa features a skirt with unique organza detailing. Although, as I am also the girl who is over dressed for every occasion, there was piece that really grabbed my attention, and naturally it was full length. However I do not want to be the only girl to turn up in something that goes all the way down to the toes of my Michael Kors heels. Of course I already begged the friend to wear one, but just as I won that battle, she returned her dress. Broken hearted, I gave up on mine and any hope I had of raising the money. But seriously! Just feast your eyes on it. Fabric cascading down from the bust of organza flowers. Its only negative is that someone fabulous has already worn it, Jessica Alba. This fact makes me just a teensy bit star jealous, wait change that. A LOT star jealous. And she edited it (do you remember?) Her version had more feathers coming out of the bodice, electrocuted feathers. But hey, its still gorgeous.
Yours jealously,
Hannah
